The origin of the Myadel calvaria is legendary. According to legend, the Virgin Mary appeared to the owner of these places, Antonio Koshchits, and pointed to the place where a complex of chapels should be built.
In general, a calvaria is an architectural ensemble of chapels, each of which presents a sculptural composition on a specific plot of the suffering of Christ. The Myadel Calvary was built in 1765. This building is a copy of the Way of the Cross in Jerusalem.
